Own The Floor

a collective of artists, choreographers, dancers, film-makers and musicians that keep moving together

Own the Floor, 2020

I started a performance project in response to the first lockdown; addressing a need to keep moving and connected to the artistic community developed through my work with Cardiff MADE.

Bringing dancers, choreographers, artists, filmmakers and musicians together to respond to an original piece of music, in anticipation of it’s release; self-filmed contributions were edited together by a team of freelancers to make one film.

The project has evolved to form a collective of over 100 artists across discipline and we have created 6 films to date, ranging from electronic, Welsh language based synth-pop to avantgarde DADA.
